Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park has been awarded a Green Flag every year from 2012 to 2022. This award recognises the best open spaces in the UK.
It is located in south Belfast, spans over 128 acres of rolling meadows, woodlands, and gardens. The park is renowned for the City of Belfast International Rose Garden, which showcases over 20,000 blooms during the summer months and hosts the annual Rose Week in July. Visitors can enjoy various attractions, including a children's playground, a walled garden, a Japanese-style garden with tranquil water features, and several walking trails of varying lengths and difficulties.
The Stables Coffee Shop offers refreshments daily from 10 am to 4 pm. The park is accessible via the Upper Malone Road, with entrances signposted, and offers free admission and parking. Dogs are welcome but must be kept under control at all times.
