Drumkeeragh Forest

Drumkeeragh Forest is a fantastic, elevated coniferous woodland hugging the slopes of Slieve Croob, located just outside Ballynahinch and Castlewellan in County Down. Spanning over 200 hectares, this vibrant, working forest is highly popular with horse riders, cyclists, and dog walkers alike. Because of its high-altitude hillside position, the forest rewards visitors with incredible, panoramic views across the rolling rolling drumlins of Down, stretching all the way to the dramatic peaks of the Mourne Mountains on a clear day. With miles of wide, clear forest paths carving through the towering pines, Drumkeeragh offers a breezy, high-energy mountain-air escape for the whole pack.

Dogs are warmly welcomed to explore the extensive trail network, making it an absolute playground for high-energy breeds who thrive on long, brisk forest tracks.
