Fitzgerald's Park is a beautiful, historic 18-acre public park located right on the banks of the River Lee on the Mardyke in Cork City Centre. Originally developed to host the great Cork International Exhibition of 1902 and named after a former Lord Mayor of the city, this impeccably manicured parkland features a mix of formal Victorian sunken gardens, mature tree groves, a massive central fountain, and a large wildlife pond. The park is home to the Cork Public Museum, a massive children's destination playground, the landmark Daly's Bridge (affectionately known as the "Shaky Bridge"), and the beautiful riverside Natural Foods Bakery cafรฉ. For dog owners, it is a highly treasured urban escape.
Dogs are welcome year-round across all major paths and open lawns, provided they remain under direct owner control.
