Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI (LLNI) is the only local charity dedicated to blood cancer.
3 people every day are diagnosed with a blood cancer in Northern Ireland. We raise money to fund research, education and clinical support to improve treatments, and improve outcomes for patients.
Blood cancer is a more challenging cancer to treat than tumour-based cancers. The whole blood system of the body is impacted and requires specialised precision medicine. Leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma are the main 3 types of this cancer, however there are over 100 haematology disorders. it is the 5th most common cancer and the most common in children and youing people. It is the 3rd most fatal cancer.
Research has made huge differences to survival over the last 60 years, but the acute forms of these diseases and their individual nature mean there is still a lot to be done to beat blood cancer. Help us.
