Lough Mardal Lodge is an off-grid, lakeside eco-glamping retreat set across 90 acres of wild, unspoilt landscapes in Ballintra, South Donegal. Operating on strict environmental and sustainability principles, this wilderness property offers an immersive outdoor escape for active dogs who excel in rural environments. The accommodation consists of isolated, well-spaced Skydome Yurts and a traditional Shepherd’s Hut.
For dog owners, the critical rule is that pets are strictly restricted to a limited number of designated pet-friendly yurts and are completely barred from entering the Shepherd’s Hut. Surrounded by heather-covered hills, mossy bogs, and a glistening shoreline, the property functions as a vast natural playground for high-stamina trail dogs.
Strictly limited to 1 pet per designated yurt (dogs and cats welcome). A flat pet surcharge of €20 per stay applies. You must contact management to verify pet-friendly yurt availability prior to making a booking.
