Mount Stewart is a great spot for dog parents who want a relaxed day out with plenty of space to explore. The estate offers woodland trails, lakeside paths and open parkland, giving dogs lots to sniff and enjoy. The site has a two-pawprint rating, which means youโll find dog-friendly walking routes, water bowls and dog bins throughout the grounds.
Where Dogs Are Welcome Dogs on leads can enjoy the pleasure grounds, woodland walks, courtyard, shop and the covered outdoor area of the tea-room. There is also an off-lead dog exercise field beside Car Park 2 where dogs can run freely, provided they stay in sight and respond well to recall.
Restrictions Only assistance dogs are allowed inside the house and the indoor tea-room.
Facilities Fresh water bowls are available at reception, the courtyard, opposite the house, Trailhead and the off-lead field. Staff can refill them if needed.
