Description
Play, train, explore, or just simply relax and let your dog run free in one of our two private-hire dog fields. Set on the edge of the village of Magheralin, our fields are fully enclosed with 6ft high fencing to offer safe, secure spaces for all dogs to enjoy off-lead fun. Each field is separate from the other with its own private car park.
Our two fields – Digby’s Demesne and Floki’s Field - have everything you and your dog need, including outdoor play equipment, toys, and Cuppa Cabin with indoor seating, hot running water and tea/coffee making facilities. They also have a covered outdoor picnic area, and a washing station for cleaning muddy paws and boots.
Our fields are perfect for nervous, reactive, or excitable dogs, who benefit from a quiet, low distraction environment; and for groups to hire for doggie playdates. Energetic dogs will love the agility equipment and masses of open space to explore.
The Dog Meadow is situated on the edge of the village of Magheralin, between Moira and Lurgan, just 30 minutes by car from Belfast.

I booked my dog into Flokis field. Amazing. It really is a beautiful and peaceful place , well equipped and maintained. Huge space for plenty of activity and lovely sheltered area too for shade or rain. I appreciate the individual parking outside each field so dogs don't need to interact. Thank you for providing this safe zone for people with nervous and reactive dogs. Our dog loved it and as did I. We were both able to relax and enjoy the time. The booking system was easy with clear instructions.... 5 stars.

With 3 Beagles we love this place, both fields! The dogs love being off lead and sniffing every inch of grass without the worry of them bolting. The cabins are excellent with great supply of tea and coffee. It's also great to invite thier friends. The addition of a toilet is great.

Love this place and so do our dogs Max and Bear! Secure and private sessions for our 2 to run riot and let off a bit of energy, easy to get to via sat nav. Always very well kept (dog owners will understand) fresh water for the boys when they need it and a hut for us hoomans to have a cuppa while the boys run around! Well done all at the dog meadow! Keep up the great work!

July 21, 2025 at 8:34 pmWe have been regulars of The Dog Meadow for a few years now and I cannot express enough what an amazing place this is for your dogs.
The Dog Meadow boasts two fantastic, secure fields. Both are equipped with agility equipment, toys, paddling pools, sand pits and lots of space to run and have fun.
They also provide facilities for humans too, in the shape of a Cuppa Cabin – one in each field. Not only do these provide protection from the elements, but also a wonderful aray of hot and cold drinks. There is also a toilet on site when needed: everything’s spotlessly clean.
Lou and John, the owners, are so friendly and helpful. You can ask them anything. They really understand the needs of our reactive dogs, reflected in the nomansland timing between sessions. We are safe in the knowledge that our dog, Freya, will not become stressed and anxious by meeting with other pets. She can run, play and feel safe.
The Dog Meadow truly is my happy place. It saved us the worry of wondering how to help our pets thrive. Thank you so much for providing us this wonderful space ❤️
