Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is one of Northern Ireland's most famous coastal attractions, set along the stunning Causeway Coastal Route near Ballintoy, County Antrim.
Managed by the National Trust, the site offers a scenic coastal walk with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, rugged cliffs and nearby islands. The famous rope bridge, originally built by salmon fishermen, hangs almost 100 feet above the sea.
Dogs are welcome on leads along the coastal paths and inside the Weighbridge Tearoom, where you can stop for a coffee or something to eat after your walk. Water bowls and dog waste bins are also available on site.
Please note that dogs are not permitted to cross the rope bridge, so you'll need to plan your visit around this restriction. The coastal walk is still well worth exploring with your pup, with plenty of beautiful scenery along the way.
Opening hours vary seasonally. Coastal paths are accessible from dawn to dusk, but car park and rope bridge opening times may differ. Please check the National Trust website before visiting.
