Lough Key Forest and Activity Park is a massive, historic estate and multi-activity landmark located on the shores of Lough Key, just off the N4 outside Boyle, County Roscommon. Spanning 800 acres of the former Rockingham House demesne, this scenic parkland features a vast network of native woodlands, historic islands, decorative bridges, and striking 19th-century estate towers. The park is a major regional hub for outdoor entertainment, hosting the Zipit tree canopy trail, Boda Borg puzzle rooms, a modern visitor centre, and an on-site caravan and camping park. For dog owners, it is an exceptionally accommodating destination.
Dogs are allowed across all major outdoor forest trails and lakeshore paths, as well as throughout the on-site campsite.ย Dogs must be kept on a secure lead at all times throughout the park and campsite. Non-service animals are strictly restricted from entering the indoor Lough Key Experience attraction and the inside of the main dining cafรฉ to maintain hygiene standards.
