Peatlands Park is a fascinating, uniquely wild 266-hectare sanctuary located just off the M1 motorway near Dungannon, County Tyrone. Established as the very first top-tier peatland conservation area in the British Isles, this sprawling park is a designated National Nature Reserve due to its incredibly rare, intact bog habitats that have formed over 10,000 years. The park features a captivating mix of dense birch woodlands, tranquil open lakes, and vast, open peat bogs cloaked in unique insect-eating sundews, heather, and fluffy bog cotton.
Dogs are warmly welcomed on leads.
