Crom Estate, situated on the tranquil southern shores of Upper Lough Erne, is a 2,000-acre National Trust property and one of Ireland’s most significant nature conservation areas. The estate is a unique mosaic of ancient woodland, parkland, and wetlands, featuring the atmospheric 17th-century ruins of Old Crom Castle and the famous "Treasure Tree"—two ancient yews believed to be over 800 years old. While the 19th-century neo-Tudor Crom Castle remains a private residence, the surrounding demesne offers over 12 miles of waymarked trails that allow visitors to immerse themselves in Fermanagh’s rich natural and built heritage.
Dogs must be kept on leads at all times to protect the estate’s delicate ecosystem, including its herds of Fallow deer and ground-nesting birds.
