Botanic Garden

Botanic Gardens in South Belfast is a historic public park established in 1828. It features tropical plants, a rose garden, an alpine garden, mature trees, and sculptures, creating a scenic and relaxing environment. The park is popular with residents, students, and tourists, offering a peaceful green space in the city. It also serves as a venue for concerts and festivals.

To get into Botanic Gardens, enter the park at Botanic Avenue, Stranmillis Embankment and University Road. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.

Opening Times
Our parks open at 7.30am every day. Closing times change as daylight lengthens or shortens. Ballysillan Park and Glenbank Park close 30 minutes before our other parks.
